Deskzilla Roadmap
With this roadmap we try to give you an idea of where Deskzilla development is heading. You can also use our Bugzilla to view detailed plans.
It is not complete and it is not final and it will change over time. We just would like to give you a feeling of where Deskzilla development is going and what can you expect in the coming months.

Planned Features
Better Viewing
- Highlight values that have caused this bug to be displayed (for example, they have been used in filtering condition);
- Bugs table: sorting by multiple columns and grouping;
- Bugs table: remembering table setup (columns, sorting, etc.) for the query that has been run; Also, remember table setup as a named "view";
- Color coding in the bugs table, variable color schemas with default schema reflecting Bugzilla color coding rules;
- Allow user to view the history of a bug;
- When viewing a bug, display related bugs and a short description of each;
- Zoom in artifact viewer;
Better Changing
- Changing multiple bugs at once;
- Undo for (almost) everything;
- Activity history - an interactive log of all changes that were done by user to the database;
- Early validation - hints for the user about the changes that are likely not to be accepted by Bugzilla;
- When entering new bug, immediately search by relevancy and display results to avoid creating duplicate bugs;
Better Searching
- Combining several queries by "union", "intersect", or "minus" operations;
- Text search with relevancy indicator;
- Externalize query formula (let user edit, copy and paste it);
- Search through bug history;
Performance
- When downloading bugs from Bugzilla, update bugs in local database concurrently with downloading;
- Track "synchronized status" for each bug to save on traffic in some cases;
- Local database engine performance increase;
- Optimization for smaller memory footprint;
Bugzilla Integration
- Support for flags and requests;
- Better support for keywords: help user select keywords, keyword validation, word completion;
- Support for voting;
- Support for time tracking;
Extensions to Bugzilla functionality
- Various bug relationships (not only depends/blocks) with semantics specified by the user, integrated via special Bugzilla comments;
- Bug - sub-bug hierarchy, integrated via special Bugzilla comments;
- Custom fields/flags that allow for private categorization of bugs in the local database;
Miscellaneous
- Multiple "main" windows (with bugs table, navigation tree and bug viewer);
- Localization (to register your interest in a language or locale, please write to info@almworks.com);
- Printing (bugs table, single bug details, multiple bug details, query statistics report);
- Spell checking;
- Java API for creating customized forms, query constraints, actions, etc.
